2024, SEOULDAL - Helium balloon above Yeouido

The new nighttime tourism attraction in Seoul for 2024, SEOULDAL, is a helium balloon that vertically ascends above Yeouido.

It provides a unique experience for enjoying Seoul's stunning night views from the skies above Yeouido Park.

Not only can you take in the dazzling cityscape, but from a distance, SEOULDAL itself becomes a beautiful part of Seoul’s nighttime scenery. Enjoy Seoul in various ways, both inside and outside of SEOULDAL!

 

 

 

The name "SEOULDAL" was created by combining the native Korean words for "Seoul" and "moon," reflecting the experience of both domestic and international tourists who will feel the charm of Seoul by day and night while on the balloon.

Unlike hot air balloons, SEOULDAL uses non-flammable helium gas for increased safety, and its body is connected to the ground with a cable, reducing the risk of drifting away from the planned flight area.

SEOULDAL Operation Guide

Operating Schedule: Monday through Sunday (Facility maintenance every Monday; closed on Mondays)

Operating Hours: Scheduled to officially open on August 23, 2024
12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Last flight at 9:30 PM)

• 5th Line Yeouido Station, Exit 3, approximately 568 meters (11-minute walk)
• 9th Line National Assembly Station, Exit 3, approximately 559 meters (10-minute walk)

Facility Maintenance: 12:00 PM
Closing Time: 10:00 PM
Note: The above schedule applies after the official opening. Each flight lasts about 15 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 30 passengers.

 

Ticket Prices (On-site purchase only):

• Adult: 25,000 KRW
  Child/Senior: 20,000 KRW
• Disabled/National Merit Individuals: 30% discount
• Groups (20 or more): 10% discount
• Climate Companion Card: 10% discount

Important Notes for SEOULDAL Visitors:

• The experience facility is sensitive to weather conditions such as strong winds and heavy rain, and operation will be determined in real-time. If immediate boarding is not possible upon arrival, please wait until operations resume or consider visiting on another date.
• Passengers under 19 must be accompanied by a guardian aged 19 or older.
• Passengers with mobility issues must be accompanied by a guardian.
• Passengers shorter than 110 cm may experience restricted visibility.
• Wheelchairs/strollers wider than 90 cm cannot be boarded and must be stored next to the storage lockers before boarding.
• Pets are not allowed, and there is no designated waiting area for them, so please avoid bringing pets.
• Pregnant women, those with a fear of heights, or individuals with specific health concerns should carefully consider boarding.
• There is no separate parking space available, so please use public transportation or nearby public/private paid parking facilities.
